Gardens offer one of the largest ranges of Agapanthus plants anywhere. We are
steadily building up our collection of these spectacular South African
plants. They require a light, well-drained soil rich in humus. They should
be given a winter mulch of leaves, bracken or straw. All can be grown in
pots where they flower best when pot bound. Protect pots from frost. The
hardiest varieties are the decidious ones, marked D in the
descriptions. Evergreen varieties need shelter (E).
