Pacific Coast Iris
These spectacular ‘orchid’ Iris always excite comment at Chelsea. They are
easily grown in soil with a high humus content — ideal mixed with shrubs in
light shade. More lime tolerant than at first thought. Do not allow the
plants to dry out during their first year, until they are established.
Reticulata Irises
Frequently planted as annuals, these Bulbous Irises will grow on if planted
deeply or in a fairly moist, shady situation. All the types listed below
like chalky soils. keep dry in
summer. They are excellent in pots are they are early flowering.
