These attractive spring flowering bulbs, with their turk's cap flowers, delight in a humus rich soil in part shade.

FRITILLARIA

A variable family. They all need good drainage and prefer to be planted as:

1. Open garden
2. Semi shade, not too dry.
3. Dry, sunny position.
4. Alpine house.
